Here’s a step-by-step of the Custom Ordering process

custom order process

My goal is to produce well-designed, quality custom products to the clients’ specifications and to provide a great customer experience.  Your trust and satisfaction are important to me. With that in mind, below is how the custom sewing process works for you.

STEP 1

After submitting the Custom Order Request form, I will contact you within 24 hours to discuss your request and to answer any questions you may have.

STEP 2

Once I have all the details, I’ll complete your Quote. You’ll then receive a link to your account in my invoicing system, where you can review the Quote.

STEP 3

Please review the Quote to ensure your request meets your specifications. The Quote also includes the Contract, Custom Order, and Refund Policies. If you agree with the Quote, then click “Approve” in the invoicing system. The system will automatically notify me once you complete it.

STEP 4

After I receive notification, I will contact you to set up a date and place to meet so that I may get the supplies that you will provide to complete your project.

If your project is scheduled to be completed in a week or more, I will provide progress reports via text or email. You are also welcome to check in at any time. If you prefer a visual update, we can arrange a video call or an in-person meeting.

STEP 5

Once your project is complete, I will contact you to arrange the pickup or delivery details. You’ll receive an automated invoice. You can pay through the invoicing app or when we meet at the time of delivery. Payment is due upon receiving your Order. If paying by check, the funds must clear before you receive your order.

CUSTOM ORDER POLICY

I’m excited to work with you! To ensure a smooth process and the best experience for you, please review the following guidelines for custom orders.

  • I only accept projects that I can complete within the agreed timeline. This ensures I can deliver high-quality work on schedule.
  • Changes & Adjustments: Once your order is in progress, any design changes, fabric modifications, or major alterations may cause additional charges and could extend the completion time.
  • Examples of changes that may affect pricing & timeline:
    1. Adjustments to sewing techniques (e.g., tailored finishes, draping, linings, or intricate construction methods).
    2. Changes to fabric type, especially if switching to specialty or difficult-to-work-with materials.
    3. Adding decorative features, embroidery, or other embellishments.
    4. Any modifications to the design after sewing has begun.

I’m here to make sure you love your custom piece! If you have questions during the process, please reach out. I appreciate your trust in my expertise and look forward to creating something special just for you!
